I hear of values, principles and ethics
Recoil from these concepts
Growled out by rejects
Thou shalt not, right to life

Bearing arms
Vote and tote
A little learning
Amends for harms

It's all beginning
A start at change
To feel the feelings
Pain receding

A bird's darting
In time with time
Float and sing
